Hello!

So, first let me tell you about the absolute disaster that happened the other day. My planner--it went to the grave!!! You probably don't understand the immensity of terrible this is, but I am heartbroken over here. My planner is where I write my dreams, funny things, interesting things, just things I want to remember, and I save each and every transfer's. This planner happened to have two very important days in it (birthday and half-way point) and now I have no record of it!! Noooooooooooo.....  And it was all due to a rainy day. I dropped it and it got completely soaked. But not only that, it got ran over by 50 million cars. So it was soggy shreds by the time I found it again. Oh the sorrow..

Anyway, I will eventually get over it, though I still am super sad that I lost all of those thoughts (sorry mom, I wasn't able to keep up on my journal :/).

But, about this past week. The best part was, you guessed it, my birthday! So we were actually super busy that day. We went to lunch with one of our investigators, who is so fun and is dating a guy who goes to BYU. And by the way, I invited her for Christmas, if she decides to come. :D :D

After that. we went with our Elders for an awesome little adventure! Our English students, a wife and husband, invited us to go with them to see some famous places in Korea, and we were able to get permission to go! We got to try on actual Korean clothes from ancient times (I wore the bridal clothes) and none of us wanted to take them off. It was just as cool of an experience for the Koreans as it was for us Americans. And we were also able to go to the grave site for all the soldiers that dies in the Korean War, which was really cool. And it was raining, so it heightened the whole effect. Then, they took us to dinner!

And right after that we went to another investigator's home, who served us more dinner that she had made herself (she doesn't like to cook) and taught a little lesson. It was so great!

The rest of this week was just as busy and just as fun. We are having a baptism next Sunday! A forever investigator is finally getting baptized :)

Since I've written so much, I'll leave it at that. I love you all so much, and thank you for the birthday wishes and prayers! Stay safe and strong.

Interesting fact: When they play dodgeball, it's with just one ball. I know, to an American, it's like "how do you play that with just one ball?" But here's how it works: there's one ball being thrown, and if you get tagged, you go to the other side, but rather than just stand there, you can still play. All those who are out surround the other team and can receive the ball and get people out. So it gets harder the more people you get out, but your goal is still to get everyone. Its way fun!

"Fight the good fight of faith." - 1 Timothy 6:12
We're in a war here, and our greatest weapon is our faith in God. No matter what happens, if our faith stays strong, there's nothing you can't conquer. Another scripture that goes right along: "Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." (2 Timothy 6:12). I really like these analogies. :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yeah that's right, this week is my birthday! But, it's a little different this time.On Tuesday I will be in fact turning the big number 21. But, I've been saying I'm 22 since January due to the whole difference in age thing here..... So I'm not sure what the significance of my birthday is haha but anyway, we have something AWESOME planned for it which I will save to tell you about next week!

So, this week was pretty weird because we had to do a lot of exchanging. So remember how last week I went with another Sister for a couple of days? Well, her companion ended up going home, so she needed a temporary companion for another week. So what happened was Sister 최예인 went for the first couple days, and then Sister 박은경. It actually was really great, because I got to work with them both on an individual basis, and was able to get to know Sister 빅은경 a lot better. But I sure missed our threesome companionship! I love them so much! Yesterday when we were all back together again was a sweet moment.

As far as our lessons are going, we gave two baptismal commitments this past week, and though we weren't able to get baptismal dates, all of our investigators know what we are here for now! And just yesterday we met with a new investigator that seems so open! So we are excited to teach her. This next week is going to be super crucial for our investigators!

Other than that, the week was pretty normal! (Of course, the things I just told you about made it so it wasn't normal at all haha) And we are going to the beach again today, because we loved it so much and it is so so beautiful outside! There are flowers everywhere. :) I love spring!! Just saying, my birthday is the best time of the year. :D

Before I close, that is way awesome that 4th Ward now has Bishop Gibbons! I wasn't surprised at all; he is perfect for the calling! Also, how were the baptisms?? It sounds like Mountain Home is exploding with success!

I love you all :)

Interesting Fact: Koreans have very little hair on their arms, legs, or face. They are always very fascinated with my eyebrows, and how thick and dark they are. I have been asked many times if they could touch them, just to make sure they are real. Haha! It's super fun.

Check out the scripture I found:
"...the Lord is the avenger..." (1 Thessalonians 4:6) which I like to read as, "The Lord is the Avenger."
If you know anything about my fascination with heroes and superpowers and all the stuff, you'll understand how awesome this was when I found it. As much as I love the Marvel Avengers, God is better than all of the superheroes combined! He has and will avenge any wrong done against those who follow Him. There's no power that will defeat Him. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you wore green :)

Hello everyone!!! Soooo I just barely opened two packages from people that I love soooo very much! Thank you thank you thank you! It made my day, week, life, mission, etc super bright and happy. My birthday is in one more week whooo!!

Anyway, this past week was inSANE. The beginning of the week started out all mixed up. So a very sad event happened last week, and one sister had to go home for a couple of days. So we get a call at night asking us to meet her companion and one of us would be her companion till the other Sister returned. So I was the one that got to go. I mentioned it last letter, how I was with a sister that goes home super soon. But that email was before I knew what was gonna happen. So originally we thought that I would just be staying there for one night and then exchanging back sometime during the next afternoon. Then we thought it would be sometime at night.... then we found out that I would be staying there one more night! So I spent another awesome day learning from this experienced sister! But, once again we though we would exchange back that night, but we didn't hear anything and didn't hear anything... Until we just figured she wasn't coming back till the next day. But then ten minutes before we went to bed, President calls and says she will be there in half an hour. So we wait up for her, and then go to sleep. Then I spend one more morning with them both, before I finally went home. Then, the next two days were full of packing up our apartment, and after that we moved to a different apartment! Yes, it was a whirlwind of a week.

Other than that, there wasn't really much time for anything to happen. Our investigators are doing okay; we had an awesome lesson with one of them! When we taught her the plan of Salvation, she was like yeah! This makes sense; it's completely reasonable. So we are way excited about that :)

Annd I just got back from a super awesome P-day at the beach. It was so fun! And we played ultimate frisbee, which I absolutely love, though its extremely hard in the sand. Anyway, I'm loving it here!

I love you all <3

Interesting fact: There is sweet potato cake. I haven't had it, but it sounds way delicious.

Mile-long brain run‏

Hello family! So I actually have time to email today, yayy!! Which is very needed since there is SO much stuff going on here.

First of all, let me clarify: last week's hair fiasco was not just a haircut (that would have been super ridiculous). My companion did Magic which straightens your hair so you don't have to do it every day. It saves a lot of time in the long run. But I'm just glad God gave me the hair I have. haha

More about this threesome companionship. The companion that came in, Sister Park Eun Gyong (박은경) is so fun! Serving with her, there is never a dull moment. She is always happily serving, and really good at making people laugh.

This past week was insane! It started out not so great, because the boy that was going to get baptized's baptismal date got cancelled, but we are still going to teach him and his family. And one of the Elders that was in my MTC District got sick and had to go home! :( So there were some sad moments this past week. But after that it was just good happenings.

We had Mission Tour on Thursday, where a Mission President from Japan came and spoke to us. It was amazing of course, and really great to see the other missionaries in the Busan-city area.

On Saturday for our weekly youth activity, we made brownies. But somehow the batter was wayyy to oily, so all the American missionaries put our minds together to figure out how to fix them. That was super fun, especially since I have no idea how to bake. But they turned out very delicious in the end, so it was a success!

Also, Stake Conference was this past weekend, and all of the missionaries were invited to the Saturday session as well. One of the Young Women from my last area spoke! She is a recent convert, and in the past couple months since I left, her friend that she invited to church got baptized! Such an awesome little missionary :) <3

AND on Sunday, you'll never believe it. It was a miracle! FOUR of our investigators came to the Sunday session of Stake Conference! And for two of them it was the first time they had been to our church. It was so fantastic! Though man, it's super hard to take care of more than one investigator at a time. Good thing there is three of us! God definitely knew what he was doing when he put three of us here for this transfer.

And finally, here I am in a different area on exchanges with a Sister that is going home in four weeks. Crazy week, right? And I didn't even touch any of the details! Anyway, I hope you are all well! How was your week? What has been happening in the family?

I love hearing from you!
Sister Segovia

Interesting Fact:
This next week (March 14th) is White Day. This is like Valentine's Day, but here Valentine's day is where girls give guys chocolate, and White Day is when guys give to the girls. I've no clue why they need separate days, but I guess it's always good to have more days for showing love.

"Love with faith." - Ephesians 6:23
This past week as I was studying, I discovered the relation between love and faith. In order to truly love, we have to do so with faith! We have to take the step first, and love will follow. And the more steps we take, the more love we gain, and the closer we come to feeling the true love of God.

Just time for a testimony

Absolutely no time to email. I'm sorry, you will just get a hello I'm great email today.
So really quick, I'll say that I love both of my companions and I love being in a threesome and our investigators are doing really well and we can't wait for next week! Also, I'm learning lots and lots of new stuff. That's all, thanks for everything!

Interesting fact: hair shops are pretty cheap. 15$ is considered expensive for a haircut.

Love!

Just time for a testimony: I know without a doubt that God loves each and everyone of us! And He is always looking out for ways to show us that love. <3
